We have assembled a group of highly qualified professionals, in a cohesive team, who can tackle a wide range of projects, with any current or new technology. Team members are outlined below.

BRUCE TICHBON
MANAGING DIRECTOR
BE(Electrical) Registered Engineer

Since joining AAS (NZ) Ltd as a founding partner in 1990, Bruce has performed a wide range of assignments including corporate strategies, marketing studies, legal work, policy advice and system acquisition. He has also done work for a number of carriers and new venture companies in New Zealand, Asia and North America. Bruce brings a strong emphasis on business, commercial planning and managerial as well as technical aspects to his work.

REX LOVELOCK
Senior Consultant
Qualifications BE(Electrical) (1st Class Hons), Cisco Certification, Dipl in Business Admin (DBA)

Rex is highly experienced in the enterprise and carrier spaces and has held management positions in engineering, marketing and sales in Telecom, CLEAR, CityLink and Logical. His skills include information technology systems and the IP/Internet space. Rex brings a business, sales and detailed understanding of the Internetwork to his assignments.

 

 

PETER LAKE
Senior Consultant

Peter Lake has had over 35 years in the telecommunications industry. This includes significant project management, business and network planning, design, specification, tender evaluation, and commercial work. He has had in depth involvement in new technology developments, applications, implementation and operation of all types of networks; specialising in radio and fibre optic transmission, local access and cable systems. These skills, together with extensive practical and field experience, have been utilised in rural, urban, national and international networks (including working in developing countries).

 

 

 

DAVID SWIFT

David is Managing Director of the NSW office of Gibson Quai-AAS in Sydney. David has been either the Project Manager or a main contributor to many of GQ-AAS's recent major assignments including the establishment of new carriers, strategy studies, business studies and reviews of telecommunications facilities and services on behalf of an extensive client base.

David has significant experience in all aspects (commercial, financial and technical) of government and major corporate infrastructure and services contracts. Advice has been provided to most state and federal governments and at least half of the top twenty Australian Corporations.

 

 

TOM AMOS
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT and DIRECTOR

Mr Amos has been Managing Partner, Managing Director, CEO and Director of a number of public and private companies and a leading commentator and opinion leader over many years in the telecommunications industry in Australia.

As a professional Consulting Engineer, Mr Amos’ breadth of experience, wide grasp of technologies, carrier business knowledge, and understanding of the regulatory and commercial realities of the carrier and equipment sides of the telecommunications industry, have given him a singular mix of skills which have been widely sought after, by business and government.

Mr Amos is also a Member and past Vice Chairman of the Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG).
Tom Amos is a Principal of the Wave Link Systems Pty Ltd and Wave Link Capital Pty Ltd (WLC) that, since 1981, have invested in technology and service related areas.

 

 

Ed GOODWIN
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Graduate Financial Management Diploma
MBA, University of Sydney

Mr Goodwin has extensive skills in the technical evaluation of telecommunication services, modelling and the construction of business plans. Mr Goodwin has been working in the telecommunications industry for over 25 years in various senior management positions. His experience encompasses private and public sector roles, and both the carriage and equipment manufacture sectors of the industry He is a director of Wave Link Capital and has been a key part of the Due Diligence team.
